Establish, Build & Promote Value Often

It is important to constantly establish, build and promote value of the craft that you work.  All of your efforts, discoveries and class work all equate to you being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your craft and the amount that people will be paying for your work.  When it comes, to media, it is a partnership and keeps the public informed about what you are doing and what communities are being effected by your work.  Blogs are your personal electronic book that can inform, document and add to your credibility as an artist.  Media is always a great enhancement to your image and they readily share your latest work and projects with the community as a whole.  Several newspapers have a Community, Local or Arts section that is constantly looking for credible stories to share with several communities.  I appreciate all the work that reporters have done to help me carry my message to several communities.
